We highly recommend providing your pets’ normal diet during their stay at our resort. A familiar diet is best for your pet's digestive system and will help with any pets who may have a sensitive stomach.
Please “Pre-Bag” your pets food for each meal labeled with your pet's first and last name. If their morning feeding is different than their evening feeding, please label AM or PM. This helps to make sure they receive the same measurements as they do at home. If you are unable to bring your pets food or if your provided food runs out, we can feed your pets our premium dry food at a $2 per day charge for the Resort dog or cat food.
We feed twice daily, breakfast and dinner. If your pet requires extra feedings like a mid-day meal please let us know upon check-in. Arrangements can be made if your pet is on a specific feeding schedule or has special requirements. Any special diets other than dry kibble may incur an extra fee. If you are boarding multiple pets in the same suite and they can not eat together, there is an additional $2 per meal fee for each pet that has to be moved/separated for feeding.
We want your pet to feel comfortable and secure while staying with us, therefore you may bring your pet’s personal bedding (no oversized beds or comforters, please); and up to two pet toys. All items must be labeled with your pet's first and last name in permanent marker. Please do NOT bring towels, tennis balls (or other, smaller ball toys), anything valuable to you or your pet, or large crates. We do our best to make sure that all of your pet's belongings return home, but we are not responsible for any lost items.
When your pet is in unfamiliar surroundings they may chew things they would not ordinarily chew at home. Any bedding item or toy that becomes too damaged or that we believe may pose a hazard to your pet may be removed at the sole discretion of our pet care staff.
Just like children who are nervous leaving Mom and Dad on the first day of school, some pets and their parents, can be a bit nervous at drop-off time.
We’d would love to help your pet acclimate to the experience. If possible, we suggest that within the two weeks prior to your pet’s stay you stop by with him during business hours “just for fun.”
Come in with your pet on an “acclimation visit” as often as you like. We’ll make the experience special by giving him a yummy treat or a nice belly rub, which will help him associate Sacramento Pet Resort with fabulous things. Having already been here, even for a few minutes, will help your pet remember the experience in a positive light – he came here with you, got a snack and some attention, and went back home with you, too – all is great with the world.
Socializing your pet and helping him experience new people and places is a great way to help him remain relaxed, comfortable and eager to try new things throughout his life.
